I was in the middle of watching Netflix when I got an error message:
- May 29, 2017 I have installed Silverlight when working in Firefox. Installation went perfectly, but Firefox still asks to install. I checked Options Add-ons Plugins to see if the authorization was ok, but I can't find the plugin there. I tried Internet Explorer to see if that worked, but IE also asks to install Silverlight.
- Download Silverlight Head to www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight and save Silverlight.exe to your hard disk. Once the download is finished, click Open. The installation will start.
- Download the current version of Silverlight. Double-click on Silverlight.dmg in your browser's Downloads menu. For Safari, the Downloads menu is in the upper right corner of the browser. For Firefox, Downloads is a separate window located in the Dock. Double-click on Silverlight.pkg. Follow the installation prompts.
- This enables you to display web pages that use Silverlight (such as CTI Navigator Web) within your Chrome or Firefox browser, even if the browser itself does not correctly load Silverlight. The IE Tab also includes an 'Auto URL' filter and a Bookmarks feature that allow you to specify which URLs should always be loaded with IE Tab.

Download Silverlight For Mac Firefox Chrome
I spent the next hour uninstalling and reinstalling Silverlight to no avail. I finally gave up and watched it on Safari. But I prefer to use Firefox.
I followed every tutorial I could find. It's activated under Add Ons. I have no idea why it wont work.

Microsoft Silverlight For Firefox

There is a free browser extension called 'IE Tab' that runs Windows Internet Explorer (IE) components within a tab in Chrome or Firefox. This enables you to display web pages that use Silverlight (such as CTI Navigator Web) within your Chrome or Firefox browser, even if the browser itself does not correctly load Silverlight. The IE Tab also includes an 'Auto URL' filter and a Bookmarks feature that allow you to specify which URLs should always be loaded with IE Tab.
Even though it does not open the IE browser per se, IE Tab uses the IE Browser Control core engine. Therefore, to ensure full security when using IE Tab, the latest version of Internet Explorer should be installed on your computer and it should be kept up-to-date with the latest security patches from Microsoft.
