Hey all, I did a quick search to no avail so I figure I would post this to see if any hits came back.
I have just purchased a macbook. Love it. Also got a 1 TB time capsule to replace my 'Windows Home Server' which I sold on eBay.
I have the backup all set for my macbook but am having an issue backing up my two vista machines to the network share.
I am coming up with an error that says:
'
The network share could not be accessed for the following reason:
The RPC server is unavailable. (0x800706BA)
Please ensure that the network location is valid.
'
I know it is because I have the share mapped to my hard drive, I have full read/write/execute access to it with the user logged in.
No matter what I put for credentials I get this error.
Anyone have a solution to it?
Thanks

Follow along for how to back up a Mac to Time Machine with any hard drive. Appleās AirPort products go all the way back to 1999, with its first gen Time Capsule launching almost a decade later. I connected my Macbook Pro to the Time Capsule to via ethernet to do the initial backup which was around 40GB. The backup took nearly 5 hours! I was under the impression that both the Macbook.
